Yes — the TeraBridge agent is bundled with every paid plan and only activates accelerated transfers via TBP. The plan tier sets the throughput cap.

What happens if I downgrade or my license expires?

You drop into a 7-day grace period (full features), then a read-only "limited mode" — your data and settings are preserved, transfers pause until you renew.

How does TBP throughput capping work?

The TeraBridge Protocol agent reads its tier from the activation token and shapes outbound throughput in software. Going over your tier doesn't break anything — it just slows down to the cap.

Is everything self-hosted?

Yes. TeraBridge runs entirely on your own server (Ubuntu LTS recommended). The portal is just for licensing and downloads — your files never leave your infrastructure.
